HII Mission Technologies Newest Addition: The REMUS 130 UUV

HII announced the newest third generation REMUS 130 uncrewed underwater vehicle (UUV), which is based on the highly successful REMUS UUV series. The REMUS 130 is designed to enhance underwater operations with maximum flexibility, advanced capabilities and innovative features including:
- A compact, 2 person-portable design.
- Effortless payload integration
- Operational depths down to 100 metres.
- An extended battery life up to 10 hours for sustained operations with easy field battery change.
The REMUS 100 vehicles are used for search areas, debris field mapping and topographic ocean floor mapping in water down to 100 m. The REMUS 130 features modern core electronics, navigation, and communications systems. The modular open architecture interfaces accommodate wet or dry payloads, including custom payloads developed by the user. The REMUS 130 is built to conduct various missions and operations including:
- Data collection
- Offshore energy exploration
- Search and rescue
- Mine countermeasure operations
