SEA1770 Training Conducted at HMAS Penguin

Training has been conducted on systems and equipment comprising the Fly Away Survey Kit (FASK), for the Project SEA1770 Rapid Environmental Assessment. The FASK equipment provides Deployable Geospatial Survey Teams with the latest technology to support the surveys of landing zones, choke points and other areas of threat to seaborne forces. Fly Away Survey Kits are designed for rapid deployment in small boats to operational areas, providing a  Wideband Multibeam Sonar System, to supplement existing Navy Single Beam Echo Sounder and Side Scan Sonars.

BlueZone GM, Andrew Hazell, said “it was very pleasing to be able to deliver equipment to the Navy and to back it up with comprehensive training.” “BlueZone has significant experience in all aspects of hydrographic survey equipment to be provided under SEA1770,” said Andrew, “We draw on our experience in providing this equipment to our customers Australia-wide, and support the equipment with OEM-trained technical staff, engineering development and integration capability.” BlueZone has previously provided training to the Navy, including Maintainer Training for the Double Eagle Mk II Mine Disposal System for over ten years.

• Teledyne Digibar S Sound Velocity Profiler
