HII REMUS 300 UUV

REMUS 300M Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV)

The REMUS 300 is our latest small-class, two-man portable unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) with increased modularity and maximum payload flexibility that is built for military and commercial applications. The REMUS 300 UUV is designed to advance distributed maritime operations by conducting critical underwater missions like Mine countermeasures (MCM) and underwater surveys.

The REMUS 300M can conduct MCM missions down to 305 meters, and port and harbour clearance. Using side scan sonar, the REMUS 300M surveys large areas autonomously, allowing operators to review and classify mine-like objects. The rapid deployment from any vessel provides large area coverage on a single mission, making it ideal for SAR operations. The side scan sonar and precision navigation provide highly accurate data to locate targets, including downed aircraft and sunken ships.

Key Features of the REMUS 300 include:

  • 305 m depth rated
  • Up to 30-hour mission duration
  • Speeds up to 5 knots
  • Flexible energy options
  • Open architecture
  • Module and reconfigurable
  • Removable 1 TB hard drive

The stability and versatility of the REMUS 300 offer applications such as:

  •  Rapid environmental assessment (REA)
  • Marine archaeology
  • Offshore oil and gas
  • Renewables

Other scalable modular space is available for integration payloads to perform customer-defined missions, including:

  • Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR)
  • Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW)
