Highly Intuitive and Flexible Graphical User Interface ideal for RHIBs or smaller vessels

The Teledyne Benthos UTS-9500 Universal Topside UTS-9500 offers CE marked, enhanced replacement to the previous UTS-9400 unit.  The updated portable topside delivers a highly intuitive and flexible Graphical User Interface (GUI) that removes the need for an additional laptop, something particularly useful for deployments from RHIBs or smaller vessels.  The redesigned UTS-9500 is also lighter than its predecessor, adding to the system portability, and features new rechargeable lithium-ion battery technology that will lessen required maintenance cycles.  Other new features include enhanced corrosion resistance, improved system safety, and an enhanced communication port

New UTS-9500 features include:

  • The New CE-conformant design allows for easy export and utilization for our European customers.
  • Reduced weight further increases the portability of this self-contained topside unit, allowing customers to deploy from less costly smaller vessels or RHIBs.
  • New rechargeable lithium-ion battery technology reduces the
  • overall weight and lessens the required maintenance cycles.
  • Optional GNSS allows users to survey in their mooring, saving valuable time and money by calculating and recording the location of their release and/or modem for expedited recovery.
  • Improved corrosion resistance, system safety, and enhanced communications port.

  • Full colour, touch screen display and intuitive menus to simplify operation
  • Advanced ambient acoustic condition analysis to ensure your commands get through in even the most challenging environments
  • Ability to log all sent and received commands for post-processing of mission operations
  • RS-232 port for direct connection to a PC or laptop USB port for offloading logged data and updating firmware
  • Speaker for listening to acoustic signals
  • ​Low frequency (LF) dunking transducer and 25-meter cable (standard)
  • Up to 200m cable available for high-reliability deep water acoustic communications
  • Deck box emulation to command other vendor’s products
