Mark Hegarty Celebrates 10 Years!
BlueZone commemorates Mark Hegarty’s 10 years
BlueZone extends their appreciation to Mark Hegarty for his 10 years with the company. Mark joined UVS in 2012 as a General Manager Victoria. As the company merged into BlueZone Group in 2015 and has grown, Mark’s role changed to the Group Sales Manager. Mark brings a hands-on approach by supporting customers with sales and services of oceanographic and hydrographic equipment.
Before embarking upon his journey with BlueZone, Mark spent 23 years in the Royal Australian Navy, where he completed a Diploma in Hydrographic Surveying. Mark spent 8 years after leaving the RAN with ATLAS Hydrographic managing the support of hydrographic and navigation equipment, along with the responsibility of installing the equipment onto Hydrographic Survey ships. The experience Mark gained throughout his career in the RAN and since has provided him with the knowledge about different equipment that is required to conduct oceanic operations. In addition, Mark completed training for hydrographic survey software at Hypack and Caris hydrographic mapping software with Teledyne Geospatial.
During Mark’s time at BlueZone, he has assisted with SeaBat® operations and outfitting the SeaBat® T50 onto the RAN’s Hydrographic Survey ships. Furthermore, Mark has provided support and service for Teledyne RDI’s Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs) for oceanographic data collection. Since joining BlueZone, Mark has attended numerous events such as the Hydrospatial exhibition in Cairns, QLD and several Pacific-Indo exhibitions around Australia. The BlueZone team is grateful for the knowledge and experience Mark has gained throughout his career and his continuous involvement within the company.
