BlueZone Supports BAE Systems’ Bid for Sea 1778

As reported in ADM Magazine, BlueZone has supported BAE Systems in offering a low-risk solution to the Royal Australian Navy SEA 1778 Project for deployable mine counter measures.

ADM Magazine reports that “The mission system includes REMUS, the only combat-proven Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV), currently in-service with 17 naval operators worldwide. The reliable AUV Hydroid REMUS 600 and man-portable AUV Hydroid REMUS 100 supplied by UVS will form an important part of the solution.”

BlueZone has been working closely with REMUS users in Australia to build a knowledge base of support for REMUS and to assist with integration of new sensors and payloads. As the REMUS fleet in Australia grows, BlueZone and Hydroid, Inc. have agreed to continue discussions regarding establishment of a REMUS Authorised Service Centre capability that will provide for faster turnaround of all types of service for REMUS vehicles.
