A Dedicated Team Takes Action to Remove Waste and Support a Greener Community.

In the early work hours of Friday morning, a dedicated team from BlueZone Group set out on a mission to give Thornton a much-needed clean-up. Equipped with gloves, determination, and a few well-used trash bags, they worked efficiently to collect an impressive seven bags of rubbish in just one hour.

This initiative was more than just a tidy-up—it was about making a meaningful impact on the local environment. From discarded food wrappers to unexpected mystery items, the team tackled it all, demonstrating that small actions can lead to significant change.

Their efforts were inspired by Clean Up Australia, a movement that has engaged over 22 million Australians in environmental clean-up activities. Founded by Ian Kiernan, AO, Clean Up Australia has grown into the nation’s largest community-driven environmental initiative, focusing not only on removing waste but also on preventing it.
