The Fiber Optic Splice Kit is designed to meet the unique demands of environments requiring high-speed, fibre-based broadband connectivity, such as rural areas. Originally developed to bridge the digital divide in underserved communities, the kit allows for the underwater splicing of fibre optic cables across great distances, ensuring consistent and reliable network performance. This technology is particularly valuable for communities in remote locations where traditional broadband infrastructure is difficult to establish.
Each splice kit is built for easy installation and is capable of creating a full ocean depth splice with multiple layers of sealing for protection. The marine-grade, stainless steel enclosure can be customized to suit various environments, with options for titanium, stainless steel, and Delrin® enclosures available upon request. The kit is ideal for fibre optic splicing applications in oceans, rivers, lakes, and other bodies of water.
