UVS Joins BlueZone Group

UVS has joined with ATSA Defence Services to form the BlueZone Group together with other complementary companies.

UVS was established in 1973 and supplies quality subsea equipment and services to the Offshore Oil & Gas, Defence Oceanographic, Hydrographic and Offshore Renewable Energy market sectors. ATSA Defence Services established in 2000 is a specialised service provider to the Royal Australian Navy and other customers operating in harsh conditions to meet demanding requirements. Other companies forming the group will include UVS Trenchless, Strip & Spray and ATSA Products & ROVs.

Blue Zone Group CEO, Neil Hodges, said that the formation of the group was a logical step since UVS and ATSA Defence came under common ownership in 2011. “The strength of the group is our operation in diverse markets and our national footprint which enables us to offer our customers products and services Australia-wide for applications ranging from the deep oceans, to coastal seas, rivers and water infrastructure”, said Neil.

Neil said that there would be minimal immediate changes to the operation of ATSA and UVS as the companies had shared resources for some time where it provided the opportunity to deliver better value to customers. “We expect to continue to service our existing customers through the group companies as we have always done”, said Neil, “The formation of the BlueZone Group gives us the added incentive to seek further business synergies between the group companies leading to improved outcomes for our customers”.
