Support for Port Authorities
A BlueZone Group team of Hydrographic General Manager, Mark Hegarty, and Defence General Manager, Andrew Hazell, have accompanied Adam Junner of Teledyne Reson on a comprehensive tour of major east coast ports.
At the Port of Brisbane, Adam corrected an 8125-H issue using Teledyne PDS automatic filters. Teledyne PDS software for hydrographic survey and dredging operations offers modules that cover the entire operation from acquisition to the end product. The software runs on standard PCs with Windows operating system. Teledyne PDS is available in different versions tailored to specific operations.
At the Port of Melbourne, Adam took the opportunity to review firmware and software versions on their SeaBat 7125 and ensure everything was up to date.
The Port Authority NSW was selected by Teledyne Reson as one of the two initial users of the SeaBat T50 Multi-Beam Echo Sounder and they have now installed one of the first delivered systems. Adam Junner conducted a health check on the system and updated the latest software. The SeaBat T50-P is fully frequency agile from 190 to 420 kHz allowing for improved swath performance and reduced survey time under difficult conditions. The SeaBat T50-P is designed for fast mobilisation on smaller vessels. The Portable Sonar Processor and sonar head form a compact system, securing minimal interfacing and low space requirements.
Mark Hegarty said that he was very pleased to be able to visit major port customers and that Teledyne Reson support backed by BlueZone Group local service was a key feature that customers could depend upon in Australia.
