Riverboat Communication Project

Riverboat Communication Project

UVS was pleased to assist the Department of Natural Resources of the Northern Territory Government in the design and manufacture of a communication system for a novel tethered riverboat. The riverboat mounted Teledyne RDI Workhorse instruments and enabled a hydrographer to perform flow measurements from bridges, cableways or manned boats.

UVS has the experience and capability to assist many customers with the design and manufacture of special projects. Our engineering team includes electrical and mechanical design capability. Our workshops support construction of electronic projects and we have trusted suppliers who can provide mechanical components to meet the needs of projects from rivers to ocean depths. Our specialised Polyurethane Moulding Service is ideal for short run production of moulded cable assemblies that are proven to work in harsh environments.
