Next-Generation Water Monitoring with ARES Optical Sensors
Precision, performance, and flexibility—now available exclusively in Australia through BlueZone Group
With a powerful new tool at their fingertips, environmental professionals and marine researchers can take water monitoring to the next level with ARES range of optical water sensors. Developed by Xeos by Satlink, a trusted name in ocean technology, ARES sensors are designed for precision, reliability, and versatility. From oceanographic research and environmental monitoring to marine operations and aquaculture. The ARES can be used in a wide range of applications.
The ARES sensors are available in three flexible configurations to suit different monitoring needs. The ARES model measures one parameter—either turbidity, chlorophyll-a, or CDOM. The ARES Duo combines any two of these parameters, while the ARES Trio measures all three: turbidity, chlorophyll-a, and CDOM.
Each sensor combines cutting-edge technology in a rugged, compact package. With high resolution—0.1 NTU for turbidity, 0.1 µg/L for chlorophyll-a, and 0.5 ppb for CDOM—along with smart gain switching, users can expect enhanced accuracy across a wide range of conditions. The energy-efficient design utilises ultra-bright LEDs and fibre optics to minimise power consumption, making the sensors ideal for remote or battery-powered deployments.
Despite their powerful capabilities, ARES sensors are remarkably compact, measuring at just 10.90cm in length and 4.45cm in diameter. They are also built to last, with a depth rating of 500 metres to ensure reliable operation in harsh marine environments.
BlueZone Group is proud to be the exclusive agent for ARES sensors in Australia, providing local expertise, support, and integration services. Whether you’re tracking algal blooms, assessing water quality, or conducting long-term environmental research, the ARES sensor line delivers the performance and flexibility needed to support confident, data-driven decisions.
