MARTAC & Sealartec Unveil Fully Autonomous Launch & Recovery System for USVs

Revolutionary ALARS technology enables seamless autonomous launch and recovery of USVs, enhancing mission efficiency and scalability in maritime operations.

Maritime Tactical Systems, Inc. (MARTAC) and Sealartec have unveiled a fully autonomous Launch & Recovery System (ALARS), enabling MARTAC’s MANTAS T8 and T12 Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) to be autonomously launched and recovered from the Devil Ray T38. This breakthrough enhances swarming missions and maximises the potential of unmanned systems in maritime operations.

The ALARS is designed to operate in up to sea state four, integrating seamlessly with the Devil Ray’s main control system. Using Sealartec’s advanced Local Positioning System (LPS), it ensures precise and efficient recovery of the MANTAS T12, followed by automated loading and securing, allowing the Devil Ray T38 to quickly resume its mission. Its adaptable cradle also enables compatibility with other unmanned systems.

Bruce Hanson, CEO of MARTAC: “This ALARS brings us closer to deploying fully autonomous USV fleets capable of executing complex missions over vast distances. By combining this technology with our Advanced AI Autonomy, we can scale up USV operations while reducing reliance on human intervention.”

Amitai Peleg, CEO of Sealartec: “As the USV market expands, ALARS technology is essential for increasing operational efficiency and building user confidence in autonomous maritime systems.”

The ALARS is available now, and both companies are scaling production for 2025. Watch it in action here: YouTube Link.
