UVS is pleased to announce that Electronics Technician, Hamish McInnes has been the 2016 recipient of the Josh Woolfson Memorial Encouragement Award. The Josh Woolfson Memorial Encouragement Award was established in 2012 by Liz Woolfson in memory of her husband, Josh Woolfson and his work in the Industrial Electronics courses and industry.

BlueZone Group CEO, Neil Hodges, said that it was very pleasing to see Hamish as the recipient of this award, “Hamish started with us a Hunternet Group Training Company apprentice”, said Neil, “We cannot speak too highly of the Group Training concept that has enabled our company to support the development of technology skills that are essential to support the robotics systems that we maintain for our customers”.
Hamish completed a Certificate III as an Eletro-technology Electrician in 2013 and his apprenticeship in 2016 and he now works as a valuable member of the UVS unmanned underwater vehicle workshop team.
