DeepSea confirms that both the PEEK and Titanium models of the Double Dual Seal (DDS) SeaVent pressure relief valve are fully validated to operate without the inner SAE-#4 sealing O-ring installed.

Every DDS and Single Dual Seal (SDS) SeaVent unit is hydrostatically tested during production to its rated depth without the SAE-#4 O-ring installed. The rated depth is 6 km for PEEK and 11 km for Titanium models.

Units operated without the inner SAE-#4 sealing O-ring remain fully covered under the standard DeepSea warranty. For best performance and added redundancy, DeepSea recommends using both external sealing O-rings whenever possible.
