BlueZone Technical Staff Complete Teledyne Training
BlueZone Group’s technical staff Curtis Schur and Grant Maddison have completed three weeks of training with Teledyne Marine companies located in the USA.
At Teledyne RDI (Poway, California) Curtis and Grant completed time on the ADCP production line learning every aspect of ADCP manufacture. This was backed up by classroom training that included ADCP basics, ADCP theory and ADCP advanced/expert command operation. The theory was consolidated by working alongside Teledyne field service engineers on “real world” problems raised from inspection, test and servicing of customer ADCP equipment. Resulting from this training, BlueZone can now provide an enhanced ADCP service capability in Australia including replacement/upgrade of components, fault isolation and repair.
At Teledyne BlueView (Seattle, Washington) the BlueView range of 2D and 3D sonars was comprehensively covered including theory of operation, interpreting images and control of viewer software. Operations including actual dockside deployment and review of captured data ensured that the classroom theory was transferred to the field.
