BlueZone Group at Autonomous Warrior 2022
Successful support to OEMs HII and MARTAC
BlueZone Group has wrapped up a successful three weeks of support for leading global OEMs, HII and MARTAC, at Autonomous Warrior conducted in May 2022 at Jervis Bay.
Serving customers in more than 30 countries, HII provides design, autonomy, manufacturing, testing, operations and sustainment of unmanned systems, including unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) and unmanned surface vessels (USVs). A world leader in advanced unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), HII offers solutions across all classes of UUVs, from small class to extra-large class.
Maritime Tactical Systems, Inc. (MARTAC™) has patented a unique class of MANTAS™ next generation unmanned vessels. Unmanned surface and hybrid vessels are accompanied with a robust Command and Control (C2) system known as TASKER™. The MANTAS USV enables the coverage of open ocean and littoral waterways with extended on-station persistence capability. The MARTAC product line of unmanned vessels can range from 2m to 15m and are capable of extreme high surface speeds. The patented catamaran hull is suitable for surface, subsurface and unaided air drop operations.
BlueZone Group CEO, Elizabeth Karpiel, said that sovereign sustainment of advanced uncrewed systems such as REMUS and MANTAS was key to fielding a sustainable capability for Navy. “BlueZone has more than two decades experience in support of uncrewed systems,” said Elizabeth, “Autonomous Warrior 2022 was a key opportunity for BlueZone to advance our skills through OEM training to enable sustainment of new systems to be operated by Defence.” At INDOPAC 22 BlueZone was announced as an authorised REMUS autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) service centre. BlueZone will provide local support to REMUS AUVs for the Royal Australian Navy and other regional customers.
