Teledyne RDI RiverPro ADCP

Teledyne RDI RiverPro ADCP

The 1200 kHz RiverPro intelligent river discharge measurement system is most suitable for Australian river applications

Key Features of the River Pro

RiverPro will be more suitable for many Australian river applications.

The key features of RiverPro compared with RiverRay are:

  • 0.2 to 20m profiling range (0.4 to 60m for RiverRay)
  • More effective in shallow water (less than 2m) because it is a 1200kHz system (RiverRay 600 kHz system)
  • 20 degree beam angle so only 6% side lobe region (30 degree for RiverRay, 15% side lobe region)
  • Higher velocity measurement precision (smaller standard deviation) and higher special resolution (small cell size) because it is a 1200 kHz system, vertical beam with calibrated RSSI for sediment studies
  • In addition, RiverPro has an embedded GPS for georeference

The new RiverPro ADCP utilises:

  • a 20 degree beam, allowing users to accurately measure more closely to the riverbed;
  • a 600 kHz 5th beam that collects true vertical velocity with a calibrated RSSI (return signal strength indicator);
  • auto-adaptive sampling for simple, automated data collection; as well as an optional manual override function for advanced users; and
  • an upgrade path for our gold standard Workhorse Rio Grande ADCPs.
