SEA CON®

SEA CON®

BlueZone has supplied SEA CON® products to many projects in the Offshore Oil and Gas, Oceanographic and ROV markets. The first division within the SEA CON® Group started manufacturing underwater electrical connectors in 1968 and BlueZone has partnered with SEA CON® since 1973.

Many SEA CON® products have been developed through the first division located at El Cajon, San Diego including the highly successful MINI-CON and Metal Shell Series (MSS). This history of proven development has resulted in this division being the focal point for the supply of electrical cable and system solutions within the Group.

BlueZone has worked closely with SEACON Advanced Products, LLC for customers with specialised and demanding subsea applications. SEACON Advanced Products was formed in 1999 to focus directly on the Lockheed Martin® designed HYDRASTAR and CM2000 high integrity underwater mateable connectors. In 2005 SEACON Advanced Products, LLC moved to new facilities in Texas and continue to develop state-of-the-art products, including underwater mateable fiber optic connectors such as the HYDRALIGHT, MICROSTAR and S-SERIES and the recently developed G3, together with a vast range of optical and hybrid dry-mate connectors. In addition to the underwater mateable optical connectors, SEACON Advanced Products, LLC continue to design and manufacture the CM2000 underwater mateable electrical connector along with a range of single & multiple channel optical fiber and hybrid penetrators and field installable umbilical terminations.
