On the 5th of February 2024, BlueZone Group successfully completed the first demonstration with the SEABER YUCO-SCAN micro-AUV at Lake Macquarie, NSW. This demonstration showcased the micro-AUV’s capabilities in the Australian environment, highlighting the latest underwater autonomous survey technology. The trials at Lake Macquarie specifically featured the YUCO-SCAN micro-AUV, testing its proficiency in conducting surveys in Australian environments. The YUCO-SCAN’s side scan sonar from DeepVision provided detailed and accurate underwater mapping throughout the surveys. The high-stability enables accurate navigation and is essential for research and commercial oceanographic applications.
