BlueZone supports TMT to deliver ROV for submarine rescue
Hydrostatic pressure testing an essential step in assurance for ocean systems
BlueZone is pleased to provide support to Perth-based Total Marine Technology in their ROV manufacturing and operations which will in time include the delivery of an ROV for Australia’s new submarine rescue capability.
BlueZone provides hydrostatic pressure testing for TMT ROV development. Hydrostatic pressure testing is an essential step in assurance of systems designed for deployment in the ocean depths.
Located in Perth, BlueZone owns and operates two hydrostatic pressure testing chambers. All chambers have electrical pressure rated penetrators for connection to equipment under test. BlueZone maintains all chambers with in-date NATA certified gauges.
BlueZone GM Perth, Mark Musarra, said that the hydrostatic pressure testing capability was an example of the strength of the subsea engineering capability developed in Perth from many years of support to the Offshore Oil & Gas industry. “Increasingly we are seeing opportunities to support Defence projects such as the submarine rescue ROV,” said Mark, “The WA experience in subsea engineering provides a unique and highly-qualified capability that Defence can draw upon for future naval projects.”
