Teledyne SeaBotix produces a range of low logistics ROVs that are ideal for many applications where rapid deployment and ease of setup are key requirements. Packed in rugged cases the SeaBotix ROVs are easy to transit to a site and operations can be run using a standard generator where there is no electrical power available. The SeaBotix tether is flexible and rugged with no fibre optic components so that it can easily be field repaired in the event of damage. With a working strength of 100kg the tether can be used to launch the ROV and so provides an easy and safe way to get it in an out of the water.

New applications for SeaBotix vehicles continue to be developed. The LBC crawler vehicle is well know for it’s ability to attach to a ship’s hull for detailed inspections of biofouling or improvised explosive devices. The vLBV-10 SeaLift vehicle was demonstrated at the Teledyne Marine Technology workshop. This vehicle includes six thrusters positioned to provided maximum vertical lift and this is combined with an additional camera that supports attachment of the lift hook to the item of interest. The lift hook is positioned to provide for straight-through lift so that the vLBV-10 SeaLift is purpose-built for maximising recovery capability in a compact ROV system.

BlueZone is very pleased to be able to offer the SeaBotix vehicles to customers in Australia and will be working to establish an Australian-based service capability from our offices in Newcastle, Melbourne and Perth.
