Indo-Pacific 2022

BlueZone Group at Indo-Pacific 2022

Indo-Pacific 2022 International Maritime Exposition, held at the International Convention Centre Sydney, was the biggest in the events history. The event was long awaited after it was postponed in 2021 due to covid restrictions, but it was well worth the wait.

The BlueZone team had a few huge days with some significant highlights, and it was great to be able to meet again in person. There was a lot of interest at our booth, and we would like to particularly thank Alessandro Fenu, CEO of SUEX, and Steve Trewavas for supporting us with the SUEX diver propulsion vehicle, and Ben Towers from Blueprint Subsea supporting us with the Artemis Pro.

It was an honour meet with Chief of Navy Vice Admiral Michael Noonan, and to welcome him to the BlueZone Group booth. We appreciated him taking time out of his extremely busy schedule to hear from us as an Australian owned SME, and the work we are doing at BlueZone.

BlueZone’s Norman Ballard presented on the benefits and abilities of wave gliders at the AAUS Autonomy in the Maritime Domain Conference and we shouted coffees in the foyer. The presentation was very well received and we were proud to be able to show some of the capabilities and discuss the opportunities presented from these USVs.

The Indo-Pacific 2022 may be over, but very exciting news announced not long before the event was that the next will be held in November 2023, so we look forward to meeting our friends and colleagues there next year.
