CS24 Camera System for Collins Class Submarine
CS24 Camera System for Collins Class Submarine
BlueZone Group is now completing an important project for Australian Submarine Corporation (ASC) in support of the Collins Class Submarine.
The CS24 Camera System is being upgraded to meet contemporary video and electronics standards and provide increased functionality for the submarine crew. Innovations in the design will include a removable hard disk for secure storage of sensitive data and the provision of spare channels for future upgrade.
Mark Musarra, GM BlueZone Perth, said that the CS24 Camera System had been a very successful product that has given many years of reliable service to the Royal Australian Navy. “The first camera system was introduced as the Remote Operating Node (RON) camera,” said Mark. “It is very pleasing to be given the opportunity to upgrade the CS24 System,” continued Mark, “and we have worked closely with submarine crews to implement changes which will make the system even more useful for submarine operations.”
