Sensor Equipment for the #DigitalOcean
BlueZone Group has shipped five pallets or equipment with a mass of more than 1200kg for ‘Material Release 2’ for Project SEA 1770 Rapid Environmental Assessment.
BlueZone General Manager Defence, Andrew Hazell, said it was very pleasing to have accomplished a significant milestone in delivery of the underwater sensing technology that is the front line of SEA 1770. “We are very excited to make this delivery,” said Andrew, “as it represents the completion of a great deal of hard work for our project team in finalising and clarifying requirements leading to equipment procurement and delivery to the customer.” All of the equipment for SEA 1770 has been received at the BlueZone workshops in Newcastle, unpacked and checked for conformance before re-configuration for SEA 1770 requirement.
“A particular challenge has been packaging for the equipment for easy manual handling in and out of small boats,” said Andrew, “the packaging of the equipment in ruggedised transport cases that includes all tools and ancillary support equipment will make it easy for Deployable Geospatial Survey Teams to achieve their mission for rapid environmental assessment wherever they are tasked.”
